I'll keep my hands in my pockets.

sometimes i wonder why
but then people have stopped
wondering why stars shine
and instead,
they keep fallen stars in their pockets,
and never let them fade away,
and when they need
that extra little bit of warmth...
they put their hands in their pockets
to keep out the frostbiting cold.

Just for those times
that you do not have
someone's hands
to hold.
