W.I.P.! (yes I totally need to fix that asap)

Currently working on... art for a game team in school!

I really need to buck up more on my 2D animation... but am
neck deep in rigging Mr Pickles, my 3D car burglar. Extremely
painful process...

"And there are two answers to when an illustration is done;
If it is for a client, then the illustration is done
when the client says it is done.
If the illustration is for me, then it is never done.
Ever."

If half of what you said is true
And half of what I didn't do
could be different,
Would it make it better?

If we forget the things we know.
Would we have somewhere to go?
 The only way is down,

 I can see that now.

14 Ways to acquire knowledge

by James T. Mangan

1)  PRACTICE

Consider the knowledge you already have — the things you really
 know you can do. They are the things you have done over and over;
practiced them so often that they became second nature. Every normal
person knows how to walk and talk. But he could never have acquired this
knowledge without practice. For the young child can’t do the things that
are easy to older people without first doing them over and over and over.

[…]

Most of us quit on the first or second attempt. But the man who is
really going to be educated, who intends to know, is going to stay
with it until it is done. Practice!

EDUCATION, n.

That which discloses to the wise
and disguises from the foolish
 their lack of understanding.

Tell the truth through whichever
comes to hand — but tell it.
Resign yourself to the lifelong sadness
that comes from never being satisfied.

“People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered:
Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may
accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives: Be kind anyway.
If you are successful you will win some false friends
and true enemies: Succeed anyway. If you are honest
and frank people will try to cheat you: Be honest
anyway. What you spend years building, someone
could destroy overnight: Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they
may be jealous of you: Be happy anyway. The good
you do today, will often be forgotten by tomorrow:
Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may
never be enough: Give your best anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.”

Shoelaces

I am connected to the very first man who ever tied his shoelaces together, to prevent his shoes from tumbling off his feet. In that same vein, I am connected to you.
You, who also know how to tie your own laces.
We are not born with the knowledge of tying our shoelaces together. We must acquire this skill from someone before us, and he before him from he before him before him before him and before, who must have gained the gift of lacing from his father and his father from his father’s father’s father’s father and all the fathers from the definite number of fathers before him, from the very first son, who learnt from the one and only Grand Father of Shoelace Tying. He was a genius.
That is how I am related to you, a complete stranger. But by having  relations it would mean that we are no longer strangers to each other. Just as shoelaces hold our shoes together, the very notion of the motion of tying holds us, the whole world, together.
The only strangers left, or the strange estranged would have to be people who wear Crocs. These people do not know how to tie their shoelaces, because they do not have any.
